When you go to work at 4:30 am and get home at 5:30 in the evening and spend the intervening time outside on the ocean you find it is hard on your skin. That is certainly the case lobstering on the coast of Maine.

The solution was found in an old local trick. People used local mud on burns, poison ivy, and bee stings. We decided to try the mud in more general skincare. It worked. This trick evolved from a single product into a full blown business.
